Thank you
Reflecting on a Decade of Growth and Gratitude
After an incredible 11 year journey with planting and leading Red Door church, it's with a heart full of gratitude and peace that Sarah and I are closing this chapter of Red Door.
For the past decade, we’ve poured our heart and soul into Red Door. In 2010, we felt called to move from Billings, Montana to plant a brand new church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In the summer of 2012 we loaded up and set out to a new city. Over the next 7 months we worked and gathered people around a vision of reaching and serving those who were broken and hurting.
A Bible passage that has always been a driving focus for Red Door is Matthew 9:35-36:
“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”
Over the past 11 years we were incredibly blessed to serve and meet so many amazing individuals. We truly feel like everyone who came through our doors impacted us and imparted so much into our lives. With audacious dreams and enthusiasm we gathered in a movie theater, designed an array of stage sets, moved countless times, set up and tore down chairs, hosted one of the largest egg hunts in our city, shared meals, paid for laundry, and met people where they were at.
It’s been a tremendous blessing to serve as your pastors. We have been through so much together. Thank you for your dedication, love, and unwavering support.
As one chapter ends, another one begins.
Thank you all for being a part of our story.
