Coronavirus Response
Due to local health concerns and school cancellation we felt it best to be supportive of our community and local leaders.
We will NOT gather tomorrow as a large group body.
However we see the church not as a building or an event but a people, we need to BE the church in our community. So we decided to take over a laundromat and pay for everyone's laundry tomorrow. For many laundry is a significant budget item and we don't want people struggling to have to choose laundry over food.
We will NOT be posting the location and time of the take over due to health concerns and not creating a mass crowd. We will be incognito! We feel this is a practical way to love and help people.
We will also cancel youth on Wednesday and monitor how the week goes and determine next Sunday plans.
If you have ? Please let me know. If you would like to help with the laundromat serving please email: zach@reddoorchurch.net
There is a lot of fear in our community and around the world. Our responsibility is to remain calm and be wise in our decision making. Please be consistent in prayer for our neighbors here and around the world who are especially susceptible to this virus. Lastly I would encourage you to limit your social media intake. Social media can be a wonderful tool for staying up-to-date on friends and family. However, in a day and age where social media has the ability to spread fear, misinformation, lies, and create chaos in ways that are completely exaggerated, I would encourage you to be careful.
Fear, is not something we should be consumed with.
...not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. ~ Philippians 4:6
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~ Romans 8:37-39
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. ~ Romans 5:3-5
